زنبور ساقه‌خوار نی، Tetramesa phragmitis (Erdös, 1952) برای اولین‌بار از ایران گزارش می‌شود. نمونه‌های این زنبور طی بررسی عوامل مهار زیستی گیاه نی،Phragmites australis (Cav.)(Poaceae)  در استان آذربایجان غربی از ارومیه جمع‌آوری و شناسایی شد. این گونه، در منطقۀ Trans- Palaearctic انتشار دارد.
